Universities Wales and the Learned Society of Wales invite you to join us for a preview event for the soon to be established Wales Innovation Network.
What is the Wales Innovation Network?
In his 2020 report, Strength in Diversity, Professor Graeme Reid recommended the creation of a new initiative designed to tap into the diversity of Wales’ research and innovation capacity, through collaboration.
At this crucial moment for research and innovation in a changing international landscape, the Wales Innovation Network (WIN) will raise the profile of R&I within Wales and the UK, provide a forum in which participants can share expertise, and increase the competitiveness of university R&I by making it easier to form bidding partnerships and share infrastructure.
This lunchtime event, chaired by Professor Hywel Thomas, president of the Learned Society of Wales, is an opportunity to hear more about plans for WIN, and to input into its developing agenda. Speakers include Professor Graeme Reid and Professor Paul Boyle, plus leaders from across academia, industry and government.
Join us on Thursday 24 June, 12-1.30pm online to find out more.
