In response to today’s announcement that universities in Wales will receive £10 million to support students through the pandemic, Amanda Wilkinson, Director of Universities Wales, said:
“We welcome this announcement of additional resource for universities to support student health and wellbeing.
“The safety and wellbeing of students is a top priority for universities in Wales, and institutions are taking every possible measure to ensure the university community is well-informed, supported and safe. In these challenging times, universities are committed to working with staff and students.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has posed many challenges which we know will continue to impact universities in a range of ways. We appreciate the way that colleagues across government, communities, staff and students are working together, collaboratively. This will help us managing the issues which will undoubtedly arise in the coming months.”
