In response to today’s publication of recommendations from the Independent Review of Qualifications in Wales and Qualifications Wales, Professor Elizabeth Treasure, Vice-Chair of Universities Wales, said:
“We note with interest the recommendations made to Welsh Government on arrangements for examinations this academic year.
“As a sector we welcome efforts to make timely decisions on these arrangements. Doing so will mean institutions are well placed to adapt their admissions processes to take into account any changes to examinations next summer. Universities are used to working with a wide range of qualifications and arrangements when making offers for entry.
“We look forward to working with Welsh Government, colleagues and regulators in the implementation of changes to assessment and what these changes mean for admissions.”
