To celebrate Universities Week and some of the ground-breaking research work undertaken at Welsh universities, Higher Education Wales is to feature a case study from each of our universities over the coming week to highlight the impact they’re having through creating Ideas for Life.
The following case study is from Swansea University.
Science and Innovation Bay Campus
Swansea University’s £450m Science and Innovation 65-acre Bay Campus on the shore of Swansea Bay has quickly risen from the ground and will be open in September 2015. For Wales it is a unique collaboration between the university, major businesses and the Welsh Government, and one of the leading knowledge economy projects in the UK.
The Bay Campus has been described as an exemplar for Wales on how universities can work with industry to enable the development and commercialisation of world leading research, whilst helping to further boost science and technology research in Wales.
