Universities Wales Weekly Wrap Up – 11 September 2015

The Fifth Access to HE Summit, ‘Widening Participation to HE in a changing policy landscape’.

SPA is contributing a workshop to the fifth Access to HE Summit on 10 November 2015, and a paper for a collection of Thinkpieces by SPA and other stakeholder organisations on the current state of play in admissions, access and widening participation. The summit will set out and debate political, institutional and operational perspectives on access and widening participation issues for 2015/16 and beyond.

This one-day national conference organised by Action on Access and Universities UK brings together sector leaders to discuss and debate on widening participation issues. Hear also from AMMOSHE, HEFCE, HELOA, NUS, OFFA, OU, and Universities UK.

There will be a mixture of plenary session and expert-led workshops on student finance; using HEFCE data tools and maps in outreach; fair and effective admissions; disadvantaged student success and progression; and part-time study.

It will be a great opportunity to network – further information and registration details can be found here.
