International Higher Education Forum 2016: Show me where the World is Going

The Universities UK and UK HE International Unit’s 4th annual International Higher Education Forum 2016 will take place on 1 March, 2016 at the Olympia Conference Centre in London. The Forum will bring together speakers from across the globe to examine the latest trends in internationalisation policy and strategy.  The morning conference will see leading experts discuss how economic, political, and demographic patterns will affect international higher education in the future. Whilst for our afternoon plenary, international university leaders will debate ‘What is a global university?’  Delegates will also be able to choose a programme which is tailored to their individual needs, with breakout sessions structured in five specialist streams; reputation building, intelligence & analysis, small and specialist (in partnership with GuildHE), research and strategy.  Confirmed speakers include:

Study in Wales Event, Paris

Visit Wales and the British Council will be hosting a reception for Welsh universities and their French partners in Paris on the evening of Thursday 25th February from 6-8pm.  The event will take place at the British Council, 9 Rue de Constantine, Paris. It will provide an opportunity for universities to invite valued French partners to celebrate the research and educational partnerships between Welsh and French universities. A range of research projects involving Welsh and French partners will be showcased at the reception and  Richard Parks, former Wales rugby international turned Extreme Environment Athlete, will be at the event to promote his collaboration with the University of South Wales. The event is part of Visit Wales’ GREAT Campaign project to encourage French visitors to Wales through business, academia and tourism.
