University Clearing – Press Statement

A spokesperson at Higher Education Wales commented “Almost all universities in Wales have clearing places available, and some universities have more clearing places available than last year. Universities across Wales are doing their level best to admit as many qualified students as possible – recruiting up to the cap that has been set on the number of student places available.

Applicants who have met their offer – and this is the majority – will of course be admitted to their course, but those who fall short should still try to enter clearing and contact admissions officers to see if a lower offer can be accepted.

Otherwise, applicants should consult their local careers office for advice.  Helpful websites include and .
