Unis Wales statement on A level results day 2017

As students in England, Northern Ireland and Wales receive their A-Level results today, many will be looking forward to starting university in Wales this autumn.

A spokesperson for Universities Wales said: “Congratulations to students who have collected their results and are now looking forward to a rewarding higher education experience at one of our universities. For those who are still undecided about their options, or maybe did not get the grades they had hoped for, it is important not to panic. Universities in Wales are providing places through clearing and there are advisers waiting to discuss the most suitable options open to them.

“Our campuses span the length of the country, and offer students the chance to study in a diverse range of locations while delivering the best possible learning experiences. With the satisfaction levels of our students and the employability rates of our graduates at consistently high levels, a degree at a Welsh university can provide many young people with the best possible start to a successful future.”

If you did not quite get the exam grades you’d hoped for or you have done better than expected, a range of options are available through Clearing, where thousands of applicants find the best course for them.
