Business and Education Partnership Awards – Results

Insider‘s Business and Education Partnerships Awards 2016, sponsored by Universities Wales, took place in Cardiff on Thurs 3 November. The awards, now in their third year, celebrated the ways in which companies, universities and colleges work together to produce amazing results. Bangor University, crowned as University of the Year, was among nine winners on the night (all results below). Wales Business Insider editor Douglas Friedli praised the winners and finalists, saying the quality of entries was the highest yet.

New Process: Bangor University with Sain Records

People Development: Axiom Manufacturing Services with Coleg y Cymoedd

Economic Impact: Cardiff and Vale College for CF10 Retail

Research and Development: Marine Power Systems with Swansea University

Partnership Award: Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships (KESS 2) with the eight Welsh universities

College of the Year: Cardiff and Vale College

University of the Year: Bangor University

Individual Impact: Hywel Thomas of Cardiff University

Year Two of the Teaching Excellence Framework

Please note that higher education providers have now been invited to apply for Year Two of the Teaching Excellence Framework. HEFCE has released guidance and metrics to support providers, and announced further details of panel members and assessors.
